We have both the clean legged and feather footed varieties. They come in various colors and make a 
colorful addition to the farm. They are perfect for young children and will become instant favorites for all to enjoy…

Clean Legged Varieties:

B/GSEB Golden Sebrights. Small very beautiful birds of golden color with each feather laced in black. A must 
have for any collector of fine bantams.
B/OLD B.B. Red Old English. Upright appearance, nice plumage coloring, Cockerels can be quite funny with their 
big attitudes for such little birds.
B/AMER Bantam Ameraucanas Delightful miniature Ameraucanas in an array of colors.

Feather Footed Varieties:


B/BUBR Buff Brahmas. Small version of the Buff Brahma. Nice compact birds. 
A little larger in size then some bantam varieties. 
Golden buff in color with laced black hackle and black tails. Really pretty hens.
B/LB Light Brahmas. Small version of the Light Brahma. Mainly white with a black tail and 
laced black hackle feathers.
B/BLC Black Cochin. Jet black with a greenish cast on the shiny black plumage. 
The contrast with the bright red comb and wattle with the black make this bird especially pleasing to the eye.
B/MF Mille fleur. A very friendly bird, a farm favorite. Great personality. 
A nice bird for the young bantam beginner 
to enjoy. Reddish color with feathers tipped in white. A nice colorful contrast of darker /lighter shades.
B/BBL Belgian Blue’s. Wonderful little blue bantams, very pretty and friendly. 
Hens & Cockerals are both blue. A farm favorite. 

Prices  

Due to the nature & desire for Silkies to set, the Silkie supply can be sporadic at times. 
The following are available in assortments (our choice) only. 
If you have a preference of color, this will be noted and if possible shipped to you, depending on availability. 

B/BS Black Silkies. Shiny black fluffy plumage almost looks like hair. They are friendly little birds, especially the 
females. The hens will set any eggs, their own and any other breed, even hard to hatch 
waterfowl. They make good mothers.
B/WS White Silkies. Identical to the black but snow white. All Silkies have black skin and five toes. 
A nice bird for 
show. Young people like these for 4-H. A very passive nature and not flighty.
B/BLS Blue Silkies. Due to the genetics involved with the blue gene 50% of the babies from a blue-blue mating 
will produce 50% blue, with the rest of the chicks 25% black, and 25% splashed, but they all look like 
lovely little cotton puffs with black skin.
B/BUS Buff Silkies. Buff in color. Very pretty shade.

Started Pullets

Young females that have not laid yet - .These healthy vaccinated, wormed young pullets have been raised and cared for at Happy Hens Hatchery in a healthy environment since hatch. They have been raised on the floor and not in cages or confined small areas. They are able to wander and move about with ample food, water, bedding and floor space to keep them happy. This will be noticed with their attractive appearance, bright eyes and clean shiny plumage. We pride ourselves with quality not on quantity. We truly believe in humane practices at our farm and we hope you can appreciate this. With these hens we offer birds more attractive than regular commercial brown hens. You are also given a selection as to the breed and color variations, making your flock more colorful as well as having great production abilities.
Custom Raised Pullets: Pick the basic breed of chick, and we will do the raising for you.

Started Pullets are available: Occasionally at 6-18 weeks... These pullets come in a variety of breeds, 
mix them or order the same breed. All pullets are sold before they begin to lay so they can get familiar with 
their new surroundings. Please reserve now to ensure availability and selection. Limited Supply. Delivery on 
large orders can be arranged with our transport depending on the location and timing. 
Pullets can be picked up at Happy Hens Hatchery. *Sorry but we do not ship pullets. 
Happy Hens will be happy to accept pullet orders and breed requests through-out the year but 
payment must accompany the order. A 25% deposit is required to secure all pullet orders at time of booking.

Fertilized Eggs

For incubating purposes only. This is an exciting way to experience Mother Nature at her finest. 
The children will enjoy the experience. It is great for school projects and also fascinating for adults 
that have not been introduced to this miracle. It’s also a good way to start off your flock. 
We will be pleased to offer you information on incubation to get you started. 
Unfortunately, we can not guarantee the outcome or that they all hatch. A number of factors are involved 
with the process and only “Mother Nature” and good working equipment will decide this. 
It is best if these fertilized egg orders are picked up personally. This will avoid any delivery troubles 
that could occur with such fragile items, but we will also ship out orders to areas within British Columbia. 
Once again, sorry but there is no guarantee on eggs.

DUCKLINGS: Unsexed 
All ducklings and goslings are sold as straight-run. For shipping, all ducklings must total 15 or more and 
goslings must total 10 or more. This is to ensure safety to the ducklings/goslings as well as warmth. 
Based on availability, there is a four duck minimum on ducklings for direct pick-up at the farm but 
please order well in-advance to ensure your selection and the quantities you require. 

Started Waterfowl in the various ages and various breeds may also be available for purchase.

• Pekin: Fine meat quality, large, egg laying, can be ready for market in 50 days. Non-flying. 8-10+lbs
• Rouen: Domestic, non flying, attractive - large meat duck. Fall weight 8-9lbs. drakes, females 6-7lbs.
• White Muscovy: Great gourmet qualities, excellent taste, less fat content. Quiet birds. 
  Females will fly - males won’t.
• Fancy Colored Muscovy: a combination of blues, chocolates, blacks and splashes of color.
• Crested Ducks: A farm favorite. Adorable fancy ducks with a crest on top of head, looking 
  somewhat like a hat or pom-pom. Non-flying ducks.
• Indian Runners (penguin ducks): Lighter breed, good layers, white eggs, love to forage, non-flying. 
   A nice assortment of colors: Fawn / White, Black, Chocolate & Blue.
• Khaki Campbell: Great all purpose duck, excellent layer, able to tolerate cold weather. 
  4-5lbs. non-flying.
• Blue Swedish: Very attractive, blue body, white bib from bill down the breast. 7-8lbs. Hardy.
• Cayuga: Very attractive also, very hardy, 7lbs. non-flying. Nice for show.

Blue Slate: A medium large size, beautiful breed. A slate blue color. 
Three types of offspring can be expected with blue matings. 
The Blue Slate which is blue with black flecks, a blue color and a black. 

Black Spanish: Beautiful large pure black in color. The toms bright red wattles are a magnificent contrast. 

Bourbon Red: Beautiful dark red in colour with white wing and tail feathers. 
These are not broad breasted, but a good sized turkey.

Bronze - Wishard strain: This is a true breeding strain not the common commercial strain. 
Large birds attractive.

Royal Palm: (limited) Very striking color pattern of black and white. They are a smaller breed. 
Medium size and very attractive.

Heritage Turkey Package

We are very pleased to offer these turkey varieties as they are not commonly available, very rare. They are the naturally breeding types, not to be confused with the commercial strains available. The tom and hen will mate producing their own off-spring, without artificial insemination. A wonderful bird for show, and great for the family farm. They make a good conversation piece as they parade around the yard when visitors come and are friendly when raised from day-old poults.
